Dental care for everyone’s smile.

My daily practice is a combination of major dental rehabilitations, smile improvements, simple fillings and family dentistry with a focus on maintenance.

Let’s make a plan…

Get healthy

This may seem like an obvious thing but do you know what your dental examination will consist of? It’s not just your teeth and gums that will be checked. I examine the jaw, cheeks, palate and tongue as well as look for signs of other more serious potential issues.

Enhance your smile.

Whether it’s the first time that you have your check up with me or we’ve built up a professional relationship over many years, we can always discuss your smile and any concerns that you have with it. It may be the colour, crowding, worn teeth or old, ugly restorations: we can always get the look you want.

Family dentistry.

Children present unique challenges when it comes to staying dentally fit. Home care, habits and diets are less easy to control. As a dentist who’s been treating families for the best part of 20 years, and a father myself, I understand that dealing with the smaller people on our lives takes a different tack.

Composite Bonding

This is a great option to enhance your smile if you have chipped or worn front teeth and want to enhance your smile in a conservative way.

Choose from a range of colours, translucencies and hues it’s possible to restore the appearance of your front teeth and keep things conservative - often without the need to drill your teeth or use needles!

Onlays

These restorations are used on back teeth instead of full coverage crowns and simple fillings.

They are ideal when restoring moderately to severely broken down teeth or when replacing large ugly silver fillings. They provide excellent function and aesthetics with fantastic protection for your tooth and so the vast majority will last over a decade when well maintained.

Tooth Coloured Fillings

There is now no need for those ugly metal and mercury containing fillings. I only place durable, tooth-coloured fillings.

In fact, based on scientific evidence, they are ‘first choice’ to restore small to medium sized cavities and with a low sugar diet and a good hygiene regime, can last for well over a decade.

Dental Implants

There are numerous reasons why you may have a missing tooth: resulting from a traumatic injury, a tooth cannot be repaired due to a crack or deep decay, or even you could have been born with a missing tooth. Perhaps a Dental Implant is the perfect solution.

There is no need to cut down the adjacent teeth to prepare for a bridge and it will stop the opposing and adjacent teeth from drifting and tilting which creates problem areas that are at increased risk of decay and gum disease.

They look great and help maintain a healthy bite!

Hygiene Treatments

You may not have visited the dentist for a while and have some bleeding when cleaning or you may find that there’s stain building up on your teeth and so require a scaling treatment. If your gums have deteriorated, more thorough cleansing is needed with attention paid to the areas underneath the gum line.

The damage to gums is always caused by bacteria build up and this can be in the form of a soft build up ( plaque) or hard deposits (calculus), more commonly called “tartar.” Dental plaque should be removed with excellent oral hygiene but when this has solidified into calculus, it needs to be removed professionally.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are a great way to transform your smile. They can alter the shape, shade and length of your teeth to give you the smile you want.

Traditionally, veneers required drilling away of precious tooth structure however contemporary porcelain veneers are durable and require little maintenance whilst being extremely conservative and in many cases, do not require any preparation of the teeth.

Don’t put up with any unhappiness with your teeth, get the smile you want!
